State of the Fund: June '20

Hello Wren subscribers!

Thanks for supporting the Wren Climate Fund, a rotating collection of climate projects, curated by Wren, that sequester or prevent carbon emissions. Each month, we send a "State of the Fund" update which recaps progress projects in the fund have made recently. You can click through on any of the recaps to view the full project update.

Once a month, subscribers receive a "State of the Climate Fund", like the one below, that breaks down what's happening on the ground across the fund's portfolio. Each project will have a brief description, plus a link to read the full update from your browser!

June recap

In June, our projects continue to adapt to the ever-changing COVID-19 environment. Check out the updates below:

Project: Community Tree Planting

In June, we learned that the farmers involved in this project grow most of their own food, which means self-sufficiency during COVID-19. Tree planting continues in East Africa!

Project: Clean Cooking Fuel for Refugees

In June, we learned that the Clean Cooking Fuel team's engineers are writing software to manage briquette manufacturing so fewer people have to be in the factory, especially during COVID-19. This also means live data for Wren subscribers to check out!

Project: Tech-enabled Rainforest Protection

In June, we learned that, despite COVID, remote rainforest monitoring activities continue and deforestation remains at zero within the project's boundaries. 25 new communities across the Amazon are looking to join the program!

That's it for the State of the Fund this month! Let us know what you think of this new fund style, compared to supporting individual projects on Wren.
